September 12, 2007 - Augusta, NJ

In addition to the rocking training series(below) we have going on at Rutgers on Wednesday nights (http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=5287), NJ fast guy Eric Schlauch and the fine folks at Van Dessel will be offering a cyclocross skills clinic at the Central NJ Cyclocross practices on Wednesday, September 19th at 5:30 PM. Registration will open at 5:00 PM

You can come just for the clinic on the 19th and the cost is $5 (to cover our permits), or you can register for the entire training series including the clinic through Bikereg:

The clinic and practices take place on the Livingston Campus of Rutgers University (home of the 2006 ECCC Cyclocross Series Champions) in Piscataway, NJ.

You'll need a USCF, NORBA, or NCCA license or you'll need to purchase a one-day ($10)

Skylands Twilight Cross Series Presented by Skylands Cycling


A Tuesday night training race and clinic series that will build your race fitness and develop your cyclocross skills. Prepare for the real thing with plenty of hills, barriers and run ups on the north side of the Sussex County Fairgrounds (not the November course). It's a 1.5 km fully taped course with a 300m starting straight, mostly grass with some asphalt and hard dirt. No prizes, just a great workout. Entry fee $15.  Includes clinic and race.

The clinic starts at 5:00 p.m. and the race starts at 6:00 p.m. the first week, but the starting times will be moved up 10 minutes each week. Can't make the start time? Jump in when you get there. Contact: Bob Cary bobcary@skylandscycling.com 201-919-3732

September 5, 2007 - Piscataway, NJ (central)

Join the 2006 Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference Cyclocross Series Champions, Rutgers Cycling, in weekly cyclocross workouts on the Livingston campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ. Practices begin Wednesday, September 5th at 6 PM and continue every Wednesday night through November (or until it’s too dark to see). Practice will be canceled if it is raining or the athletic fields are deemed too wet to ride.

Cost is $30 for the entire season!

Pre-reg Only! USCF, NORBA, or NCCA license required (one days will be available for $10).

s Fairmount Park on two Sundays, September 9th and 16th, starting at 10:00am.
 
Directions:Montgomery Drive/Belmont Ave Exit off of the Schuylkill Expressway (76).  Go Right on Montgomery if heading East or go Left on Montgomery if heading West for ¼ mile.
Turn right into first parking lot.  Meet at the ball fields.

Where: the rolling fields at Hillen Rd and Argonne Dr (north of Lake
Montebello, south of Morgan State U.).

Parking may be along Argonne Dr unless there is a little league game
going on. Best bet is the old shopping center at the NW corner
Argonne & Hillen. The practice is at the fields on the SE corner -
head to the far side. We will be behind the little league fields.

What to expect: starts, off camber horseshoe turn, natural run or
ride up (and down), water feature, barriers.


Afterwards meet at Red Canoe for coffee, in-store made baked goods,
and talk about how well we are riding.
Red Canoes is at 4337 Harford Road (just north of Argonne Dr on
Harford Rd (next to the Safeway).
